Janet’s Story
As a high school student choosing a major for university, I desired a career where I could serve God and help people. I chose to study environmental engineering so that I could serve through bringing clean water to those without access. Finally after years in environmental consulting in the US, I had the opportunity to come to Uganda to work with eMi EA.

Professional and Ministry Training and Experience
BS (1995) and MEng (1996) in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University. Following graduation I worked for over 8 years in environmental consulting in Pennsylvania and Delaware primarily in site investigation and remediation, occasionally reducing hours at my engineering job for other ventures such as assisting in the start up of a youth center and other youth ministry work.

But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.

He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.

It does not fear when the heat comes; its leaves are always green.
