Project Scope
There are two main goals for this trip. The first is to see and experience construction management in Africa first hand. This will be done by visiting both locations in Uganda where EMI has mobilized a construction manager – John Sauder at Arise Africa International and Steve Hoyt at African Children’s Choir. At the Arise Africa International site we will stay for a few days and get our hands dirty with some actual construction. The second goal of the trip is to visit potential construction sites to see the need these ministries have for a qualified construction manager. It is hoped that from this trip some will feel God leading them to take the next step towards a long term (1+ year) commitment to work full time as a construction manager in East Africa.

During this trip we will visit the following ministries, all who are in need of a full time construction manager.

In addition to these ministries there are 6 others in East Africa which we will not visit, but have a great need for construction managers.

If you are at all interested in investigating a longer term construction management position in East Africa, if you want to know what construction management looks like in another part of the world, if you want to help great ministries implement the vision they have for their site, then please be a part of this trip! Being a part of this trip and then deciding that you are not supposed to be here is still a success and I would still want you to come. Don't stay home because you are not sure if this is where you are supposed to be long term. That is exactly the point of this trip! I expect everyone to be in that same position - uncertain, but willing to take the next step and investigate what it will be like. Please come to Uganda and see for yourself if this is where God would have you to be.
