Project Scope

Eagles Wings Children's Village exists “to bring Jesus Christ, care, love, protection and provision of basic necessities to the lone orphaned child.”

In 2002, Bill and Ann Peckham of Manitoba, Canada, came to Uganda to visit and encourage their friends Rev. Christopher and Harriet Muwonge. While they intended only to visit, God had other plans. The Peckhams traveled extensively in the West Buganda region, visiting and encouraging the church. Overwhelmed by the desperate need for orphan care, and challenged by God's calling in James 1:27 to look after the orphans among us, they felt strongly that God had called them specifically to work within their sphere of influence on behalf of the impoverished orphans in Uganda.

Uganda's high HIV/AIDS infection rate has been widely publicized in recent years, and many, like the Peckhams, have answered the call to reach out to the children who have lost parents to the disease. The leadership at Eagles Wings Children's Village has done extensive research into, and thorough implementation of, the best ways to care for these children, their families, and their communities. Now, having been blessed with a remote 72-acre site, they are recruiting consultants (such as yourself) to advise them with best-practices for land use, agricultural productivity, site master planning, and building design.

Will you consider joining our team in partnership with Eagles Wings Children's Village, bringing the gospel in its fullest to the orphans of Uganda?
