Project Scope
The Abundant Life Secondary School is the vision of Abundant Life International Ministries and the Howie Christian Charitable Trust. They have recently acquired a five to six acre plot in Iganga, a small town located roughly 70 miles east of the Kampala, the capital city of Uganda.

The principals of the Howie Christian Charitable Trust are pastors of a church in Northern Ireland who have been actively involved in furthering the Gospel throughout Uganda. Their immediate vision - and the purpose of this eMi project - is to design a secondary school that will provide an education for up to1000 children in a Christian environment, with Christian staff, operating in cooperation with a local church in Iganga.

Owned by the Prayer Tower Church of Iganga, the 5-6 acre parcel of land for the project is located just outside the town of Iganga. In order to facilitate the long-term goals of the site, better road access, water and wastewater systems, and electrical power will all be addressed during the project. The school itself will include classrooms, dormitories, workshops and recreation facilities for a mixture of day and boarding students eventually numbering up to 1000 children! We are looking for one or two architects to help the team with the master plan and building layout, and one civil engineer to assist in the water and wastewater system design. This project is particularly exciting in that the end result will provide an environment where education and the gospel of Christ will be brought to the local children in and around Iganga. Come be a part of this opportunity to touch so children's lives forever!
